One day beginner kayak Course

After a get-together talk in the morning, you get all the equipment.
We Paddle in Worblaufen on the Aare river.
You will learn the wet exit and self-rescue (how to safely get out of your kayak underwater).
River signals – how kayakers communicate with each other on the river.
You will learn how to paddle as efficiently as possible forwards, backwards and sideways.
In the afternoon, we will play some games, and you will paddle your first rapid with a small river course. You will learn to communicate clearly using river signals and show how to paddle through a section of the river as a team, stopping in an eddy and then controlledly paddling back out.
You will learn how to traverse the flow with your kayak.
Entering and exiting eddies.
You will learn how to edge your kayak and use a brace stroke to prevent capsizing.
We will practise whitewater swimming and rope rescues together.
