Here we are lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay at a guest house at the start of the `valley of waterfalls`. Here we start a Two and a half hour walk filled to the brim with breathtaking views,accompanied with muels which carry the kayaks. This section is filled with Pool drop rapids and pristine waterfalls that come from the sides and ones that we will walk to swim in!
Cacao
Have you ever asked yourself how it feels to make your own chocolate lotion from scratch and use it all over your body, before bathing in a waterfall?
Well thats the tour from Andrès and Dianas Beautiful Cacao farm! Here on a rest day we take in the views and tastes from the the region and relax Covered in Chocolate!
Valley la Cascades
Eventhough the muels did most of the work, we walk a little bit further and enjoy a stunning waterfall, and feast with a local packed lunch before we paddle down.
Samana
The Rio Samana is the Jewl of Antioqua, We paddle this river for two days and stay at a beauitful spot in the jungle, right next to a waterfall which we relax next too in the evening. The Samana is a big volume river with great rapids, lots of pools and streches to relax and float. Lots or wave filled rapids and one the pizza rock 4+ is alot of fun! Deppending on the groups abilities there are other options for a two day trip as well!
The Plan
- Day 1 –You will be picked up from the airport, we arrive at the guest house and relax and swim in the local river.
- Day 2 –Kayaking trip on a classic grade 4 kayak/rafting run only 20 mins from the house.
- Day 3 –Kayaking on the bigger volume tributary for the Samana and use of muels to bring our kayaks to the river. After its time to go to the local city relax and enjoy delicious food, after back to the house
- Day 4 –Today we paddle the local river next to the house and enjoy a local coconut icecream at the get on!
- Day 5 –We make our way to the `valley of waterfalls`and bath in waterfalls enjoying a prepared pack lunch, we paddle after through the valley to the guesthouse.
- Day 6 –After yesterday we deserve a relaxing day on the cacao farm from Andrès. Here you will learn everything how chocolate is produced from the source.Also Feasting on the Local produce and fruits direct from the garden. With many suprises along the way and some covered in chocolate ;)
- Day 7 –Today we make our way on a classic grade 4 section in wonderfull colombian Jungle. We paddle most of the day and enjoy a local lunch with fresh fish,Veg and fruit!
- Day 8-9 –Two day tour of the last free flowing river of Antioqua/another river in the south also possible (Deppending on the group also overnight)
- Day 10 –We paddle our home river and end the trip together with a lunch. Then you can be brought to the airport or maybe your trip goes further.
